Delia Venables' site is an awesome resource. It contains almost every form of British legal contact/information you might want.

The British and Irish Legal Information Institute is a free online database of British and Irish case law & legislation, European Union case law, Law Commission reports, and other law-related British and Irish material.

The Evening Standard's site. The ES is London's evening newspaper. As well as carrying the stories of the day this site is a mine of news about what is going on in London (entertainment/fashion/jobs/accommodation).

The Times' site is not as comprehensive as the ES site, but still provides a lot of information that will be useful to you before you leave New Zealand.
